String of burglaries leads to three indicted by Grand Jury | News, Sports, Jobs - Marietta Times

Three local men were indicted by the Washington County Grand Jury this week after being arrested for a string of burglaries and breaking and enterings in May and June.

The three were: Jason Wayne Allman, 40, of 33705 Bailey Run Road, Pomeroy; Daniel Lloyd Lott, 36, of 705 Thomas Court, Belpre; and Christian Mikhail Haught, 19, of 499 McGill Road, Vincent.

Allman was indicted on 16 charges, including: three counts of burglary, all second-degree felonies; two counts of grand theft, both fourth-degree felonies; two counts of grand theft when the property is a firearm or dangerous ordnance, both third-degree felonies; two counts of breaking and entering, both fifth-degree felonies; one count of petty theft, a first-degree misdemeanor; three counts of theft, all fifth-degree felonies; one count of grand theft of a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony; one count of tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony; and one count of attempted breaking and entering, a first-degree misdemeanor.

Lott was indicted on four charges, including: one count of grand theft of a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony; one count of theft and one count of breaking and entering, both fifth-degree felonies; and one count of tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony.

Haught was also indicted on four charges, including: one count of burglary, a second-degree felony; one count of theft, a fifth-degree felony; one count of attempted breaking and entering, a first-degree misdemeanor; and one count of grand theft, a fourth-degree felony.

According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched June 6 to 7350 Veto Road, Dunham Township, to a breaking and entering.

Witnesses reported two men were in a gray Chevrolet truck in a garage belonging to the homeowners.

The males were observed carrying a floor jack out of the garage and upon being yelled at, the two men quickly jumped in the truck and fled the area. It was determined that a Polaris Razor, a generator, an air compressor, miscellaneous tools and miscellaneous other items were missing.

Deputies continued to investigate, which led them to Lake Road where they observed the Chevy truck drive by their location. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle with two occupants being Jason Wayne Allman and Daniel Lloyd Lott. Located inside the bed of the truck was an air compressor and a generator.

Lott stated he and Allman entered the garage on Veto Road and took the items. Lott stated he drove the Polaris to Lake Road and hid it in the wooded area. Allman stated he was asked by Lott to drive the truck to the garage on Veto Road where he was going to steal the Polaris.

Allman denied any involvement or knowledge of the stolen items.

According to the indictments, the reported incidents which occurred are:

¯ May 19 – A Jennings .22 caliber handgun and miscellaneous property were stolen in the Warren Schools parking lot in Vincent.

¯ June 1-10 – Firearms and miscellaneous property were stolen from a residence on Barnett Ridge Road in Belpre.

¯ June 3 – Miscellaneous property was stolen on Sealy Ridge Road, Dunham Township.

¯ June 6 – The Polaris Razor and miscellaneous property was stolen from Veto Road, Dunham Township.

¯ June 6 – tampering with evidence on Lake Road, Dunham Township.

¯ June 12 – Burglary with miscellaneous property stolen on Hannah Road, Warren Township.

¯ June 12 – Attempted breaking and entering on Cave Hill Road, Decatur Township.

¯ June 12 – Stolen plate from an 18-foot 2003 Featherlite trailer.

¯ Samuel Isaac Adkins, 19, of 1202 Lockwood St., Belpre, one count of endangering children and felonious assault, both second-degree felonies. The baby, born June 6, was allegedly assaulted from June 7 through July 10, causing serious harm to the baby.

¯ Christopher A. Peyton, 32, of 110 Acme St., Marietta, two counts of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a drug of abuse or a combination of them-OVI, both fourth-degree felonies. He allegedly operated a vehicle under the influence in June 2019. Within 10 years of the offense, he was previously convicted of three violations – in June 2012 in Wood County Magistrate Court, and twice in February 2017 in Marietta Municipal Court.

¯ Emma Rose Muir, 26, of 695 Hayesville Road, Waterford, one count of possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony. She was allegedly found with the drug in January at 708 Pike St., Marietta.

In a separate case, she was indicted on one count of illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto grounds of a specified governmental facility, a third-degree felony, and one count of possession of a fentanyl-related compound and one count of aggravated possession of drugs, both fifth-degree felonies. She reportedly attempted to take a fentanyl-related compound and methamphetamine into the Washington County Jail in February.

¯ Anthony C.M. DeMarco, 40, of 275 Dutch Ridge Road, Guysville, one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. He was allegedly found with methamphetamine in June 2020 on Interstate 77 near milepost 8.

¯ Tiana S. Hickman, 30, of 11540 State Route 339, Vincent, one count of failure to appear as required by recognizance, a fourth-degree felony. She was reportedly to appear in Washington County Common Pleas Court on July 5.

¯ Cortney Renee Porter and Matthew Wayne Rosier were indicted on drug charges after an incident in June 2021 at Center and Sixth streets in Beverly. Porter, 21, homeless, was indicted on one count of attempted tampering with evidence, a fourth-degree felony.

Rosier, 33, of 209 Fifth St. Apt. 1, Beverly, was indicted on one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a third-degree felony, one count of possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a fifth-degree felony, and one count of attempted tampering with evidence, a fourth-degree felony. He was reportedly found with the fentanyl-related compound and methamphetamine.

¯ Amy Leigh Davis and Nicholas J. Patterson were indicted on several drug charges stemming from incidents in 2020 and 2021.

Davis, aka Amy Leigh Moss, 36, of 602 Cross St., Belpre, was indicted on five charges including: one count of trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound, a third-degree felony; one count of possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a fourth-degree felony; one count of trafficking in drugs, a fourth-degree felony; one count of permitting drug abuse, a fifth-degree felony; and one count of endangering children, a first-degree misdemeanor.

Patterson, 39, of 602 Cross St. Apt. A, Belpre, was indicted on four charges including: one count of trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound, a third-degree felony; one count of possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a fourth-degree felony; one count of trafficking in drugs, a fourth-degree felony; and one count of permitting drug abuse, a fifth-degree felony.

From Dec. 10, 2020, through March 14, 2021, the two allegedly packaged a fentanyl-related compound and benzodiazepine for sale. The offense was committed in the vicinity of a juvenile.

Subject to forfeit are two cell phones and $690 in cash.

¯ Alyssa D. Foreman, 25, of 713 Front St., Marietta, one count of possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony. She was allegedly found in March 2021 on Front Street, Marietta, with the drug.

¯ Alicia D. Miller, 38, homeless, one count of possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a fifth-degree felony. She was reportedly found with the drug in September 2021 at Walmart.

¯ Jason L. Strickler, 43, of 765 Danas Run Road, Newport, one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a third-degree felony. He was allegedly found with 3.4628 grams of methamphetamine in September 2021 on Ohio 7 near milepost 26, Marietta Township.

¯ George F. Cordell, 46, of 316 Washington St. Apt. 1, St. Marys, two counts of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a drug of abuse or a combination of them-OVI, both third-degree felonies. He allegedly had a 0.196 on the breathalyzer test in January 2017 on Ohio 7 near Second and Greene streets, Marietta. He had previously been convicted of the same type of offenses on Sept. 22, 2009, in Monongalia County, W. Va., and on Nov. 8, 2010, in Wood County Circuit Court.
